A festoon is a string or garland of leaves or flowers (can also be of ribbons or fruits) which are suspended in a draped fashion between two points of support.
In architecture, it is commonly the representation of such a garland, often as an applied decoration on
pilasters or
panels, or a physical festoon, often suspended in a curve between
rosettes.
