Comprising of the [[architrave]], the [[frieze]], and the [[cornice]], the entablature is the upper section that caps a [[colonnade]], or the upper section of a wall in Renaissance and modern design. It commonly is 1/4 the [[column]] height, and rests directly upon the [[abacus]]. The entablature design varies greatly, especially depending on the order of the [[column columns]] upon which it rests.
