U-Factor- the u-factor is the coefficient of air-to-air heat transmission through a building envelope assembly. It is equal to the rate of heat flow per unit area and unit temperature difference between the warm side and cold side air films. Lower U-Factors act as better insulators, see insulation.

Its units are BTU's per hour per square foot per degree Fahrenheit temperature difference (Btu/hr*sqft*°F)
