Rigid Insulation
Rigid Insulation refers to sheets of material (the material varies greatly, and new types are being created every day). They act as thermal insulation, and are more costly than batt insulation, but are much more efficient with a higher r-value per square foot. Rigid insulation is very versatile, and can be used in wall assemblies to roof assemblies.
