My name is Raymond Chow, and under the aegis of the
MicroZeta Network, I support Architectionary.com, the ultimate architecture related reference!
My Qualifications
As of 2006, I am currently an architecture student enrolled at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and have more than 4 years of internship experience at a firm. I am ADDA certified, and have more than 6 years of drafting experience, 3 years of construction related experience, 1 year of engineering experience, and 2 years of project management experience. As peripheral experience, I am also well versed in CAD/CAM and can code CNC directly. Of course, I am more than experienced in the use of
AutoCad, and 3d modeling software packages such as VIZ, 3dMax, and of course, Sketchup. I currently do not plan on becoming a certified architect; rather I will continue my studies towards a dual BArch/MS Civil Engineering and a JD law degree, allowing me to practice construction related law.
Additionally, during the summer of 2006, I completed a one-week apprenticeship for architecture interns at the New Jersey Carpenter Contractor Trust training facility in Kenilworth, NJ. It was an intensive experience, and the knowledge I gained from it will slowly be added to the entries at Architectionary.com.
My Goals
I created Architectionary.com in the hopes of being able to give back to the community which has given me so much. Many architecture students and new interns need a student's perspective on construction, and other related topics. I believe Architectionary.com gives this perspective, but with professionalism and accuracy unrivaled by other sources.
